Our Story

Since 1993, our focus has been on all things required by collectors because that is what we know best.

Starting his career at Phillips Auctioneers in London, Franklin Silverstone became head of fine arts worldwide, before retiring as a senior partner in 1979. He then became personal curator for Mr. Charles R. Bronfman and The Claridge Collection. Franklin began searching for a complete Collections Management software, and it simply didn’t exist. There was no product that could meet his requirements - being able to catalogue a very large collection, store images, customize fields, keep track of the location of every piece, as well as generate insurance reports. Additionally as a member of the Appraisers' Association of America, Franklin also wanted to incorporate features that would satisfy an appraiser's requirements, such as keeping a record of comparison objects, generating a customized report. After spending several years conceptualizing and developing a product that would meet all his criteria: Collectify™ Collectors' Edition was launched in 2001 and has since become a premier collections management software that collectors have come to depend upon.

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and the increasing number of natural disasters, emergency organizations were recommending that all homeowners should inventory ALL their possessions to expedite recovery in case of a devastating property loss. Collectify heard the call. Having a solid background in collection management, it was a natural progression to develop a software that could keep track of household items and generate insurance reports at the press of a button. Collectify™ Home Inventory hit the market in 2008.

Collectify™ has become the only software company that offers the complete solution to managing your possessions: Collectify™ Collectors' Edition for collection management, and Collectify™ Home Inventory for personal possessions.
