Did you know that you can share your collection with others via a screen saver?
Sometimes reports are just too stuffy but with a screen saver you and your family, friends, and colleagues can enjoy a virtual tour of your collections.
Go to the Tools dropdown from within your Collectify collection and click on Screen Saver. Use the Screen Saver Wizard to select the Virtual Catalog you wish to create your screen saver from and follow the additional instructions. Note that you must already have a Virtual Catalog created. For more information, search ‘Virtual Catalog’ in Collectify Help.
Collectify Home Inventory tip
A digital camera offers a handy alternative to the traditional scanner.
Follow these tips to make successful digital copies of your valued documents:
Daylight is recommended. If taking photos in a room, make sure it is well-lit. Disable the flash to minimize glare from glossy pages.
Position the lens parallel to the plane of the document and direct it towards the center of the page. At full optical zoom, the distance between the camera and the document must be sufficient to fit the entire document into the frame - about 20 to 24 inches.
If you use an auto-focus camera, focus the lens on the center of the page. Poor lighting may cause the auto focus to function incorrectly. Switch to manual focus if this occurs.
