Since the beginning, our focus has been on all things required by collectors because that is what we know best.

In 1993, Franklin Silverstone and Sasha Korper launched a new media consulting company focused on the cultural sector. Silverstone's more than three decades of art, antiques and auction business experience and Korper's lifelong work with galleries and museums gave them a unique perspective on the use of technology in the collectibles market.

Experience told them that the diversity of collections in the world matched the diversity of collectors, and a good cataloguing software must accommodate that diversity. By design, Collectify can be customized by the user to accommodate any collection type – and any collector, for that matter.

In 2006, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and other natural disasters, it became evident that there is great benefit in documenting more than just one’s collections. Emergency organizations were recommending that all homeowners should inventory ALL their possessions to expedite recovery in case of a devastating property loss. Collectify heard the call and realized that we were well-positioned to exploit our understanding of collection management and apply it to household contents management – and thus Collectify Home Inventory was born.
